Of all the men's shoe brands, Karrimor have become one of my favorite. I use several pairs for hiking and one in particular needed replacing, so I tried out these waterproof Karrimor Weathertite Hiking Boots.
The shoes themselves are comfortable and ventilated and feel very light while walking in them. These waterproof hiking boots are packed full of features, so I wanted to test them properly to make sure that they're suitable for the pro hikers and backpackers out there.
The Weathertite name comes from their durability in wet weather, so I soaked them through with a hose while wearing them to test their title. No water entered the boots and my feet and socks were completely dry. The boots also dried within 35 minutes and looked as good as new. Their ability to repel water makes them one of the best trecking products on the market.
For the friction test, I traversed a steep 61 degree incline and was pleased to remain upright and secure throughout. Unlike many other boots that I've used which are heavy and cumbersome, the Weathertites slipped on easily, held my feet tight and securely and were comfortable throughout my hike.
