For a recent camping trip with my son and the fellow Outdoors Man team we decided to pick up the Coleman Waterfall 5-Person Tent. We were looking for a comfortable tent that we could use for expeditions and trips well into the future and the Coleman Waterfall definitely stepped up to the mark.
I own 5 tents all at 4-man and below capacity, so I couldn't wait to see what the Coleman Waterfall could do. You'd expect a five man tent to be harder to assemble, but it wasn't. It took us roughly 7 minutes to get set up with 3 of us (including my 19 year old son) working on it. The ground hooks held it firmly in place against wind speeds of 45km/h and it was very stable.
The tent itself only weighs 13kg so it was easy to transport and once set up it covers 5.10m x 2.8m x 2m. All 5 of us slept in one portion of the tent, leaving just under 3m of space for our gear.
The material is completely waterproof (2000mm coated polyester) and the windows with foldable covers, are a nice feature. The space was the most impressive thing about this tent and we could have easily slept several more adults.
